Who We Are

A Team of Providers committed to your health.
Our Mission & Philosophy

Our mission is to provide excellent, evidence-based, primary medical care and guide health related decisions for adult patients.

We have a conviction to serve others. Simply, we help each other help people. Our shared commitment to enrich the lives of patients provides a continuity of care that enables patients to see one of us on Monday, a different provider on Thursday, and receive the same level of care.

It might sound like a cliche, but we strongly believe that it is an honor to care for others and one we don't take lightly.

The Care Team Approach

We do things differently at Brio. We have care teams of providers (Internists, Certified Physician Assistants, and Certified Nurse Practitioners) and clinical team members who provide consistent care for you. Under this model, you get to know not only your provider, but also the members of your clinical team. This consistency creates a place of comfort and familiarity while providing the best medical care and establishing lifelong relationships.

Specialty Teams:

Our teams of physicians, PA's, Nurses, and RMA's help educate patients on managing inhalers, medications, daily activities, and we instill the knowledge that life can absolutely be lived to the fullest with impaired breathing.

Our Diabetic Care Team enables patients to gain more knowledge and insight to better manage their diabetes while setting and maintaining goals aimed to improve diet and exercise.

The Annual Wellness Visit is not the same thing as what many people often refer to as their yearly physical exam. Medicare is very specific about what the "Annual Wellness Visit" includes and excludes.

What is a DO or Doctor of Osteopathy?

When one decides to become a doctor, there are actually two ways to achieve the title of doctor and practice medicine. One can become a medical doctor (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO). Both licenses allow one to practice medicine and require equally rigorous testing.

The difference between a MD and a DO lies primarily in philosophy on how to practice medicine. Like all excellent physicians, DOs focus on treating the whole person and not just an individual disease state. In osteopathic medical training there is an emphasis on the musculoskeletal system.

Our Ministry

"So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." - Hebrews 4:16

At Brio, we believe in the spirit of caring for others.

That is why our approach is a form of ministry - to serve and bless adult patients and families. We do this not only by providing the best possible care and support for our patients, but also by giving back to the community around us.

Our Community

The Greenville Free Medical Clinic is an integral part - the safety net - of the health care delivery system in the Greenville community. For twenty-five years, the Clinic has been providing health care and wellness services at no charge to people who cannot pay for care and to those who do not have insurance available to them. The Clinic helps keep the uninsured healthy! Several of our providers volunteer their time here.

Around the World

We love serving our patients, but we recognize that adults in other parts of the world are often in greater need for medical care. Our providers travel internationally to serve those most desperate for their expertise.
